The Race of Gentlemen 2013...Moved down the coast to Wildwood NJ!!!!

July 10, 2013 at 7:27am
Within the next two weeks we will head down to Wildwood and figure much more out.

Loose plans, Friday will be a pre party. If you can't get there till Saturday then you will have only missed a bunch of killer rock and roll.

Saturday and Sunday we will race. Reason for two days??? Well there is a huge vintage motorcycle meet on October 3rd, 4th, and ending the afternoon of the 5th. Jefferson meet in Pa. Many pals will make it down Sat night for the parties and race on Sunday.

Turns out that we will have bikes running on Sat too. Where initially we thought hot rods on Sat and bikes on Sunday. But we love them running side by side. Any we are finding out that we still have plenty of vintage bikes on Saturday.

We are excited we have a little more car club participation. This gets me pumped as we have so many great friends in killer traditional clubs we love and deeply respect. I'm so excited to see you guys again, it's been too long. Saw a few at the Jalopy Showdown. What a great time catching up and camping. Car clubs in already have a few guys running. The Flyers, the Injectors, Gasket Goons, a Rumbler, I think the Alter Boys, etc. Also a ton of people building cars just for this race. Looks like a lot of people and cars coming in from some pretty far states too.

Count on a bunch of music all over town on Saturday night so we can cruise around. Paso Robles was a huge inspiration years ago and wanting a car event in a cool town out East. Wildwood is it. If your a fan of Googie, or retro architecture, signage, it's a neat spot. There will be some car shows in certain spots for bouncing around.
So get your traditional hot rods ready, Gow jobs, cut down, or motorcycle. Cause it's on!
Email potential race entries to theraceofgentlemen@yahoo.com for review.

Note> We will be in the area near the old wooden roller coaster. Along the water again. Vending space and party/music will be closer to the wooden coaster for a prime back drop.

Ok, talk amongst yourselves as I piece together this event and can speak further about details. Stay tuned!!!
