East Coasters wait for the word Saturday morning...
East Coast encampment...
Got the word and down the road to the pre-staging lot we went...
Japanese media blitz... Ken and Gonz... Roller Magazine
Philly boys...
Grant and Steve Cab wait in pre-staging
We have a wait... that's for sure...
I made a beeline for the bar and snuck out a beer...
Went over to the beach entrance to check the pulse...
Guess who was right behind me... all dressed up...
The ocean was not behaving...
Customs by the Sea started lining up...
Back in pre-staging...Hello Koslow..
Finally moving from the Pre- Staging area lot toward the beach!!! Thanks Burrito Rick for letting me use your Knuckle to lead the racers out to the beach!
Here we go...
Into the Pit Area...
Doesn't look like I'm much help...
Go Takamine!
Steve Caballero waiting it out in the Pits...
Gathering in the pits... is that number 65 back there? Yup... Not sure who's kicking up the sand... looks like Hutch getting the brunt of it...

The Harley truck made it...
Some "unstucking" required...

Moving from the Pit Area to the track... Finally!
Moving into staging at the starting line...
Then the fun began... Staging bikes to race at the starting line... I was so involved in this activity (job) that I did not take one picture of the actual racing (I got two runs on Ricky's Knuckle and that was the extent of my racing)... there are a shit load of pictures and video of the racing out there on the net to view...) Due to the tides we only got about 3 1/2 hours of track time... the entire weekend... Sundays tidal surges were so bad the race had to be canceled! California...
The sun came out Sunday but the Ocean wasn't having any of it!
The pit area...
Spectator area...
Looked beautiful...
Tidal surge...
The track... ouch!
Mel watching the food truck get unstuck...
Monday morning we went out to the Pismo Pier...
Mel contemplating a long walk... luckily for him it's a long pier...
Joe Oz... doing his best tourist pose...
Surfers enjoying the tides...
OK Joe Oz... I'll pose for a touristy picture before I head to the airport...
I'll even take one with Mel...
Hope for the best for next year!
