Hillclimbs and Coke Coolers...

After my carb rebuild I headed to the Hill Climbs!

The Bushkill Valley MC had been using these old (1950's?) Coca Cola coolers for selling soda for decades at the hill climbs. From what I was told, the old guys couldn't lift them anymore and the young guys are too lazy...hence they decided to sell them off for $50 a piece...we got a kid to bring three of 'em home in his pick up...

This one's mine...not sure what to do with it but it is a cool piece of MC Hill climb history...loaded with beer and ice it will make a nice addition to the deck...

Three at a time...

I parked my '47 in the show and won first place...

Strapped on the trophy and hit the road...

Fired up the '47 after my carb rebuild on Sunday morning and headed up to Freemansburg for the Hill Climbs. It was great weather and a great time. In addition to the regular runs, they were running three at a time up the hill to add some excitement...that was fuckin' cool. Had a nice ride, saw a bunch of people, bought a $50 Coke cooler and won a trophy in the antique bike class (by accident)...good times! Spent the rest of the evening bar hopping and blasting down country roads...
