47 Knuckle - Jersey '92

Just found this pic of my 47 FL from back in 1992 after another "Re-Do".

Sportin' a 21 inch front wheel, 16 inch Grasshopper rear tire and dual slash cut straight pipes...

Brand "X" Ad - back cover of December 1947 American Motorcycling Magazine

There are a few things about this ad that are mentionable.

1. I like the chicks drinking at the picnic table

2. The exploded view of the inner workings of the new and improved 1948 oil pump.
This just goes to show you what kind of people bought new motorcycles in 1947. Indian actually marketed toward people that care about the oil pump gears! Most of the H.O.G. members I run into couldn't even point out an oil pump.

3. The Harley part numbers scribbled in the margins for a Big Twin springer front axle, axle spacer and rear axle sleeve nut for a 45
