Rainy Days and Mondays...
It friggin' poured Monday..so I figured I would take the '47 out for $1.95 cheese steak night...wise move. There was so much flooding that I had to ride home with my feet on the crash bars to keep them dry...
The '47 performed flawlessly!

Hillclimbs and Coke Coolers...
After my carb rebuild I headed to the Hill Climbs!
The Bushkill Valley MC had been using these old (1950's?) Coca Cola coolers for selling soda for decades at the hill climbs. From what I was told, the old guys couldn't lift them anymore and the young guys are too lazy...hence they decided to sell them off for $50 a piece...we got a kid to bring three of 'em home in his pick up...
This one's mine...not sure what to do with it but it is a cool piece of MC Hill climb history...loaded with beer and ice it will make a nice addition to the deck...
Three at a time...
I parked my '47 in the show and won first place...
Indian Four with side car...
Strapped on the trophy and hit the road...
The '47 and a pick up load of Coke Coolers...
Check the above link for the fastest run of the day...
Fired up the '47 after my carb rebuild on Sunday morning and headed up to Freemansburg for the Hill Climbs. It was great weather and a great time. In addition to the regular runs, they were running three at a time up the hill to add some excitement...that was fuckin' cool. Had a nice ride, saw a bunch of people, bought a $50 Coke cooler and won a trophy in the antique bike class (by accident)...good times! Spent the rest of the evening bar hopping and blasting down country roads...

Need Closure...Early AM Linkert Rebuild...
Yanked it off...
I can see the light! I believe this is the problem...
Pulled apart...
Got a donor and swapped throttle discs...
Now let's get rid of that Brass Float!
Rubber Ducky time!
Just Ducky....
All done and ready to install...
A few adjustments and....
Ready for a ride...
My 47 FL was pissing me off because it wouldn't idle down when hot...look's like the throttle disc was a loose fit. About 0600 this morning I decided it was time...I'll give it a thorough testing today...

The Buick and the Black Jersey Pan... gettin' some love...
Damn I look old...good thing I chopped the "Grey Beard" down a bit since this pic was taken last month...
The '51 Buick got some charge and fired right up...
now I think it needs a water pump...
Pan points...20 plus years of service...worn out...
New on the left ...Old on the right...shit picture...
NOS set installed...Fired right up and running like a champ again!
I've been bombing around on the Black Jersey Pan of late...the other day it just wouldn't start... I finally got around to checking it out and the points were barely opening...the follower was worn with no adjustment left...I have a bunch of new in the box USA made sets so I broke one out and popped it in...she fired up and is running sweet!
The Buick has been sitting all winter. I could never get it to stop overheating...radiator redone, thermostat flushed the block, etc. So I charged the battery and pulled it up to the garage to trouble shoot. Now I think it's possibly the water pump...

1953 Panhead Chopper For Sale
I never thought I'd see the day that my buddy Mike Petro would be selling his beloved 1953 Panhead Chopper!
Due to certain circumstances that day has arrived. I just rode past his house and saw it out in the driveway with a For Sale sign...
He's asking $12,500.
Give him a call at 1 215-852-5617 or email me...if interested...

1946 FL Additions...plus a bit of Memorial Day fun...
Added a suitable mirror to my '46 FL...
Added the '46 buddy seat I got in Denton...just for the day...it's back off...
Not really sure what to make of this...
Leigh's Sportster and my Knuckle with buddy seat...
I decided it was time to add a mirror to the '46...been meaning to, ever since 2008 when I got "Hit and Runned" from behind...I found a suitable match in a box of crap I picked up at Oley this year. I also picked up a '46 Buddy Seat at Denton which I installed for Memorial Day. I headed over to Leigh's house for some BBQ. I decided to try a burnout with Kelly on the buddy seat...front wheel launched off the ground!
"Hold on we're coming around again!" and did another wheelie past Leigh's driveway...sweet!
