Carb linkage and Carb re-install gave us a bit of trouble but all is well now...needed the insulating block for proper spacing so the linkage works properly...of course that required the longer carb mounting bolts...
Close Up...working well now...That insulating block moves the carb out just enough so that the linkage doesn't hit the motor mount bolt and the bracket...also note that the motor is a 1961 FL in a 1950 frame so the fat D-Rings play into fitting the bracket as well....mix and match! Also utilized the later lower Carb mounting bracket (trumpet horn style) so that the fuel line would fit between the bracket and the cylinder fins
Got the smaller TT style seat installed...
Didn't want to cut the Seat "T" right off the bat, so the holes were drilled and the "T" was left intact in case we want to go back to the full size seat...The "T" is shorter than the width of the seat so it's OK for now or forever...we'll see...we can always cut it...
Front Brake Cable, lever, etc. installed...
Need to replace that axle and axle nut...
Ride control and headlight installed
Had to mix and match a few Ride Control parts...all good...
Throttle and Advance/Retard controls done...
Tom Faber handlebars and spirals with colony internals
It all fit together and works pretty well...
Advance/Retard controls installed and connected...
Well I can't do much with my fucked up shoulder...but I'll be doing a lot less in a couple weeks after surgery! I'm trying to give Tyler some extra garage time to get this Pan finished before I'm outta commission for a while...
It turns out I completely severed two of my Rotator Cuff tendons when I crashed the Flat Track Knuckle the Saturday before last...needs fixin'...
good luck with surgery man, hope ya heal quickly!
