The Trans in my WLDR needs an overhaul...I had gotten "one more season" out of it two seasons ago...it was time to yank it outta there...
Working with one arm and the crudest of tools I decided to give it a whirl...
A universal automotive pipe hanger was just the ticket for a clutch tool...
Vise grips and an ax were handy...to remove the sprocket nut...
Yes...an ax...
Chain and clutch basket removed...the clutch hub came off with the help of a screwdriver and long 1/4 in bolt used to tap the nut loose...oh and the ax...
Popped off the rear brake rod to get it outta the way and removed the rear chain
I know...I should be ashamed...worked great!
Parts piling up...
Inner primary's off ...now the shift rod and clutch cable...
Pile getting bigger...
...and Bob's your Uncle out she came!
Ready for rebuild...BTW it took 40 minutes with one arm in a sling and basic tools (and an ax)...anybody tells you that these things are hard to work on and special tools are required is full of shit...gotta love a 45!
Poor folks, poor ways....
