Atsushi Yasui of FREEWHEELERS Japan Visited Last Week

Meldon Van Riper Stultz, Atsushi Yasui and Me...

Very serious...

Not sure...but they are pointing in the same direction

Giving pointers on kitchen appliances...and design

The Holy Grail or the Arc of the Covenant or some shit...
or maybe just Flanders Risers...

Loosening up a bit...

After a bunch of beers and dozens of Wings at the Bar...
 things got loose...real loose...

Last Wednesday Mel and Sara brought Atsushi Yasui of FREEWHEERS Japan and his friend/interpreter/drinking buddy Taco (don't think that was his real name) out to my place for a visit. They had just finished up some Ice Racing action up in Canada "The Frozen Few" which I unfortunately had to miss due to my shoulder recovery...Ice Racing and fresh shoulder surgery do not mix well.
Anyway, we had a great time talking motorcycles and trying to understand each other for several hours...then we headed up to a favorite watering hole and treated our guests to U.S.A.'s finest...Yuengling and Hot Wings...It was a blast!
Well Atsushi if you read this it was great to meet you ...stop by anytime!

And a Thank You! to Sara for sending me these pictures...I didn't take a single shot...

  1. I met Atsushi in Yokohama last year and was lucky enough to visit his shop and have dinner with him and a few of my other Japanese friends - awesome guy! Generous to a fault! Another cool guy "old bikes" have brought me to meet.
