I came across some pictures of the final assembly of my 47 Knuckle from March 2008 when I re-did the bike for the umpteenth time since I was a teenager. The paint is still the same from 1990 or 1991. The motor got a rebuild and the frame and fork a fresh powder coating. Oh yeah and an NOS Superior exhaust system.

Nice bike. The paint, bobbed fenders, and bars make me think Knuckle-Crocker
ReplyDeleteWhich rubber mounted bars do you like better the harley version you have on this bike or the flanders. I have both and am trying to decide between the two for my 47.
ReplyDeleteChris, You are right on. That is exacly what I had in mind when I "bobbed" this thing.
ReplyDeleteGeoffrey, I like them both. The HD set up has a more solid feel with when using the riser link (it makes a huge difference with and without it) and the bars stay straight. Its kinda hard to get the Flanders to stay in one place especially the taller ones with higher bars. Plus the HD ones are a bit rarer.
ReplyDeleteThe riser link is the only part I'm missing for the HD setup. I think I'll have to weld together a couple standard links.
ReplyDeletehey geoffrey, let me know what style risers you finally decide on...
