Recovery...

So here's the story behind this...
I have a friend who is "In Recovery" and believe me he needs it. So, like most folks who jump into a program with both feet, he is consumed by it, which for him is great (I guess).
He found an old neglected (free) Fender guitar that was dirty and in bad shape. He decided to give it to one of the younger guys in his "group" who showed interest in playing guitar. He approached me with his idea and asked me to help.
The idea...
He wanted to photograph the guitar in its dirty condition against an un-restored dirty bike. He was then going to "clean up" the guitar and photograph it with a restored "cleaned up" bike and with two other clean Fender guitars that had been clean for a lot longer...so the dirty guitar got "cleaned up" with the help of the other two guitars in the group that were already clean...get it? I thought so...

Anyway, I told him I would help him out and had just the bikes in mind. He came by a week or so ago and took the before pictures. Tonight he came back with the "cleaned up" guitar and it's two buddies and took the final shots.
He is presenting the "cleaned up" guitar to the kid tonight (at a meeting) along with the pictures of the transformation, which they will hang in their Club House (yeah they have a Club House).
Above are some outtakes from the photo session...
Now me... I'm kicking back with a cold beer and contemplating my good deed...
