Mystery Pillion Pad
Compared to a Bates
I have had this NOS Pillion Pad for many years. I have never seen another one like it. It's 10 inches by 8 inches and weighs over 4 pounds. The color and design are strange to me...especially the weight and density of the pad, not to mention the 14 mounting holes!
Any ideas?
Could it have been someone with a crystal ball foreseeing the future and the advent of the idiotic monster rear bags and fenders of today ?? Sorry man, poor joke, it does seem dimensionally bizarre. A dumb guess, but any chance of it's being designed for use on a luggage rack or in a Dusting outfit . . . I'm intrigued. Not much help but love your blog and respect your building abilities, cheers.
